Is Bill Maher a Total Jerk for His Tweet About Tim Tebow? [Poll]

It's great to live in America.

Because  you get say all sorts of mean, idiotic things without breaking any laws.

But on the other side of that, people can say that you are huge jerk for having said what you said.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you- Bill Maher.

Did you catch the tweet that the jerk put out the other day about Tim Tebow?

I know it goes without saying that Bill Maher is just that kind of guy who sees an opportunity to say something that will get him some attention, and takes that opportunity; but Bill just makes me nuts sometimes!

Saturday the 24th after Buffalo handed it to the Broncos on Christmas Eve, Bill Maher grabbed his phone and hit Twitter:

"Wow, Jesus just [explicative] #TimTebow bad! And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell Satan is tebowing, saying to Hitler 'Hey, Buffalo's killing them'.

I can just see Bill Maher, watching the Denver Broncos win game after game after game, with a likeable quarterback who wouldn't hurt a fly and Bill just can't stand it.

Bill Maher sits waiting for the prime opportunity, and then it comes: "BOOM!"

I bet he came up with that tweet as soon as Tim Tebow had gotten the Denver Bronocs back on the winning track- he was just waiting for the opportunity to use it.

Sure, you can take shots at a QB who's moved into the spotlight..maybe you think he's asking for it- but to take shots at the man's religious beliefs, in my book, is just plain wrong.

Bill is an Atheist. I guess he figures if he doesn't have to do nice things to get to a better resting place, he doesn't have to be nice to anybody at any time while he's here on Earth.

Tim Tebow didn't respond to the tweet- I wouldn't expect him to. Tim is too nice of guy with too many other important things to worry about to have the time to deal with a jerk.

I am hearing about a boycott of HBO and Bill's TV show "Real Time".. that's a good start.
