Kelly Clarkson just announced that she's pregnant, and although she has yet to find out the sex of the baby, she's sure she'll be buying bows instead of bow ties.

"My eggs aren’t getting any younger so we’ve already started trying," the 'Wrapped in Red' superstar recently told Parade. The couple's "trying, trying, trying ... like rabbits" obviously paid off, as the singer, who is married to Reba McEntire's stepson Brandon Blackstock, revealed that she is with child in an excited tweet on Nov. 19.

The news came as no surprise to many fans, since even before the songstress went to 'tie it up,' she was already talking about kids and doing everything she could to make her body healthy for a baby.

"I’m totally gonna have a girl. I'm manifesting it!" Clarkson insists, adding, "And when I have a girl, you’re gonna be like, ‘That chick knew it!’"

You know what they always say -- mama knows best -- and fans will just need to wait and see if her predictions are true.

Clarkson's husband has two children, Savannah, 12, and Seth, 7, but this is their first child together. The couple made the pregnancy announcement just one day shy of their one-month wedding anniversary.

The singer's maternal desire came as a bit of a shock to even her, as Clarkson's parents split when she was 5. "I didn’t really grow up in a family environment. So I didn’t understand it or know if I could do that properly," she explains.

After meeting Blackstock and watching him father his kids, she changed her mind. Clarkson says watching her husband with his kids is "the sexiest thing ever." She adds, “He’s a great dad. It’s such a turn-on!"

Whether she has a girl or a boy, the lovebirds will learn a lot from each other as they navigate parenthood together.
