Loveland Girl Pursues Her Dreams as Nashville Singer/Songwriter [VIDEOS]

When  Jordan Anderson was a kid she lived on a farm in Loveland, CO.  Now she is in Nashville pursuing a career as singer/songwriter.  Along the way, her family moved to Florida and Jordan joined the cast-choir at Orlando's Disney World.

Jordan has been working with producer Kent Wells, who has also worked with Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire and many others in Nashville.

Jordan is my friend on Facebook and I asked her to share a few things she remembers about Colorado:

The majority of my family still lives in Loveland. My best friend since kindergarten also still resides there. My grandparents honeymooned in Loveland 55 years ago and ended up settling down there. My parents are high school sweethearts. My dad attended Thompson Valley High School, my mom went to Loveland High. They met at a combined school dance.

 

I attended Namaqua Elementary School. I was involved in everything I could be! Started my singing career off by being a part of the Baby Beebops when I was 3! It was a class my parents started me in at the Chilson Center in Loveland. I got the bug for performing and started chasing the dream ever since. I was also involved in dance classes, had the opportunity to perform at the Rialto Theatre. Aside from performing, I was also heavily involved in sports! I played basketball, soccer, and golf through the city of Loveland. Continued with golf all the way through high school where I went to State as an individual. My family had been heavily involved in farming growing up. We always attended the Larimer County Fair and Rodeo. My brother and I raised rabbits for 4-H and even participated in the rodeo competitions. I was in the Little britches Rodeo Mutton Bustin' contest. I recall falling off quickly and getting extraordinarily muddy!

 

I loved living in Colorado! I miss it everyday! I always tell people that if it weren't for music I would move back to Colorado in a heartbeat! There's nothing like having the Rocky Mountains in your backyard and going skiing with your family!
