Midland Says Goodbye to Brian Gary in Way Only They Could Do
I will never forget the first time I saw Midland. It was Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Boot Grill in Loveland. They played the most memorable New From Nashville we have ever had. Usually the artists will play 6 o 7 songs and will play for 30 to 45 minutes, at the most. Midland played for over an hour and a half. They didn't want to leave and the crowd didn't want them to leave either.
After the show we asked them to be part of our 2018 Habajeeba Show and they said "yes". We knew we would be friends forever. What we didn't know is they would have one of the biggest hits of the year with "Drinkin' Problem" and they would be nominated for an ACM Award, a CMT Award and a Grammy. The won the ACM for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year.
The Habajeeba Show was amazing. Midland made the sold-out crow fall in love with their performance, but they were also hilarious when they joined Delta Rae and Canaan Smith on stage for Redneck Family Fued. We love their music. We love their style We love their sense of humor and we love their hearts. These are good guys.
This YouTube video is a message from Midland for Brian Gary after 30 years at K99 as only they can do it:
