For the second straight year, Colorado has weighed in as the thinnest state in the country according to the latest analysis by Calorie Lab, Inc. Mississippi was the most obese for the sixth straight year. The United States is getting bigger, quickly.  Colorado's current obesity rate would have made it the heaviest state in 1995.

Alabama remained in second place, while Tennessee dropped from last year’s tie with Alabama down to fourth place. West Virginia rose from fourth place last year to third place this year. Kentucky rose from last year’s seventh place to tie with last year’s fifth fattest state, Louisiana. The District of Colombia was the second slimmest state, changing places with Connecticut.
