There is no shortage of great coffee shops in Old Town. Fort Collins is full of great coffee shops. Many of these coffee shops are local businesses and many of them are thriving.

I love spending time at coffee shops. I find that coffee shops boost my productivity when I need to work outside the office. Coffee shops are also a great place to catch up with friends and start your day.

Old Town Fort Collins has many fantastic coffee shops, but one has permanently shut its doors for good.

I was on the run during the weekend and went to stop for a quick coffee. I parked in front of the Northern Hotel building to go to Starbucks.

I was surprised to see that the doors were locked. After some digging online and on social media, it is true, that Starbucks in Old Town is permanently closed.

Starbucks officially shut down on April 12. This Starbucks has been located at N. College Avenue since 2002.

There has not been an announcement about what is coming to the empty building. We doubt another coffee shop will open. This is a great opportunity for another local business to open.

The location is a great one. We hope that the next business that opens at the Northern Hotel building will be able to thrive for years to come.

We have seen so many businesses close in Northern Colorado in the past few years, we hope whatever business opens, it will be open for a long time.
