2012 CMA Awards

The 2012 CMA Awards included over 20 performances -- more if you count the skits and songs hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood played between award announcements.

The best dressed stars at the 2012 CMA Awards took chances, but didn't stray too far from the colorful gowns and classic suits one expects on country music's biggest night. We liked that. Dozens of country stars walked the red carpet at the 2012 CMA Awards, but not everyone shined. Reba McEntire and Tim Allen teamed up at the 2012 CMA awards to hand out the most coveted trophy of the night: the Entertainer of the Year award. Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and 2011 winner Taylor Swift were all nominated for EoTY, but in the end, Shelton beat out the competition.

Toby Keith has made it very clear that he will not be in attendance at tonight's CMA Awards. In fact, the only award he was up for he won early this morning but that's why Toby won't be in Nashville tonight.

The first 2012 CMA Awards trophies were announced Thursday morning (Nov. 1) during ABC's 'Good Morning America,' and Toby Keith is one of the first winners. His video clip for 'Red Solo Cup' snagged Music Video of the Year honors.
