The National Weather Service says you can expect flooding from the Poudre River and the South Platte River through the weekend. Flood warnings are in effect.
As we enter the weekend, you'll notice that the rain in Northern Colorado still hasn't let up and is starting to create standing water in parts of Larimer and Weld Counties.
This week is Flood Awareness Week. With flooding happening again in Larimer County, it's a good time to bring up LETA, Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority.
Colorado monsoon season is coming (yes, that's a thing); and with this being an El Niño season, we can expect a bit more moisture than we're used to this time of year.
Update 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 26: Due to the past few days of rain, water levels along the Poudre River are rising and are quickly approaching flood stage. A flood advisory has been issued for Larimer County through this evening. A flood watch is in effect in Weld County until Wednesday morning, May 28. Multiple roadways in Windsor are closed due to flooding.

During National Flood Awareness week, the City of Evans will be hosting a number of events to tell the Evans Flood Story, and offer opportunities for residents to connect to recovery resources. All events are free and open to the general public and will be held at the Evans Community Complex, 1100 37th Street.
