The worst thing about the snow is that has become habit for Old Man Winter here in Colorado. I'm use a little snow, dry, a little more snow, dry, maybe more snow and boom.... summer! This is crazy and the worst thing about driving in snow, don't get me started.
With over 200 miles of highway to be replaced, the biggest question for many is how long will it all take? December 1st seems like a task that is unreachable but CDOT officials say it's very possible.
My parents live Southeast of Denver; and if I'm ever late for a visit with them (or just don't want to deal with traffic) I pony up a few bucks and take the E-470 tollway to get to their house. To me, it's well worth the cost of tolls not to sit in Denver traffic, at least every once in awhile (if it was part of my daily commute, I'm sure I'd feel differently). So, hypothetically, would I use a tollway to get to my favorite vacation area of the mountains, and completely bypass stressful (and dangerous) mountain traffic? Absolutely.
I thought about this question when my co-worker Adam asked and I was clueless, I think that they are all bad, I couldn't really pin down the worst one, unless of course you were talking about my own sub-division.
It's been awhile since I have had one of those 'awkward' moments. In fact, I honestly can't think of the last time I made myself look like an idiot without even trying.
If you've spent some time driving around Greeley then you have inevitably been through the intersections along Hwy 85. They were borderline confusing and had more old broken glass and car wreckage in them than any other intersections I have seen. Well, now that's about to change but it might be a bit confusing at first.
Things are different on a bike and amplified more than other vehicles. Like drafting! There is no better feeling than rolling down the road on your bagger and feeling that sensation of drafting behind a semi...always give's me that warm and fuzzy feeling. But, then there's the road tar!
