Two Americans in Italy

Venice is the most well-known canal city in Italy, but the most charming just may be the colorful city of Burano. We visited the island for the day when we were staying with our friends in Trieste.

Burano is best known for its brightly painted housed, its canals streets, and it's World-famous lace. Legend has it that the houses were painted with bold and bright colors so the fishermen could see their homes while they were out fishing.

We ate at a lovely restaurant called Gatto Nero, which means black cat.

A big thank you to my lovely wife, Jenny for taking the wonderful photos.
