200 Bars and Restaurants File Complaints Over Last Call Order

Businesses can be open after 10 p.m. in Colorado, but they cannot serve alcohol due to an order from Colorado's Governor, Jared Polis. According to KDVR, more than 200 restaurants and bars have filed formal complaints due to Colorado's Last Call Order.

The order states that alcohol does not contribute to COVID-19, but can lead people to disregarding social distancing guidelines. KDVR's Facebook posted stats regarding the cost of the last call order and states that establishments could lose up to $1,500 per night. 40 to 50 percent of strong alcohol sales are made between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. and some places could have to cut staff or be forced to close.
