A great opportunity to get information on a number of different topics when it comes to being a senior- from taxes to fraud/scam prevention. The day comes with lunch!

the 14th annual Senior Law Day, put on by Elder Care Network, will be a CSU's Lory Student Center on Saturday, August 4, 2018. From 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. that day there will be several seminars and workshops providing seniors and their families information and resources addressing specific legal and financial needs. The workshops will be hosted by local attorneys and related professionals:

  • Veteran Benefits and Long Term Care Planning
  • Tax Considerations
  • Legal and Family Relationships
  • Legal Issues of Medical Decision Making
  • Comparing Wills and Trusts
  • Fraud and Scam Protection and Remedies
  • Many more!

The keynote speaker will be discussing medical marijuana and legal issues.

The event is free, though they are asking for a $10 donation, but the day does come with lunch and attendees will leave with a copy of the current Senior Law Handbook put out by the Colorado Bar Associaton and a comprehensive book of all the seminar highlights.
