It's the most wonderful time of the year...the time where we're celebrating one Fort Collins brewery every day in December! Welcome to the 25 Beers of Christmas.

On this sixth day of Beer-mas, we present to you a beer brewed in a legendary barrel: pH1.

When Purpose owner Peter Bouckaert was busy experimenting with the now-famous sour beer portfolio at New Belgium in 1998, he sourced nine barrels to be used for the brewing and aging process. In 2000, to make room for those famous foeders, Bouckaert sent those nine barrels into the beer-mosphere, where they traveled from New Belgium to Russian River to Rare Barrel and finally, in October 2017, back into Bouckaert's hands at Purpose Brewing.

The barrel pH1 has a companion: pH2, and that barrel was also reunited with Bouckaert after spending time at Crooked Stave. Today, you can try a beer brewed in the elusive pH1, and the bottle release has already begun. You're going to want to go grab a taste at Purpose as soon as you can.

According to the brewery, "There will be limited quantities available of 12-oz bottles of pH1 for $24 which includes a commemorative glass to enjoy Peter’s precious beer. Folks can purchase additional bottles for $14 each and additional commemorative glassware for $11 each."

Atacolypse Now Food Truck will also be at the brewery so that you can pair this incredible beer with a delicious taco. What could be better for a Friday afternoon?
