The Larimer County Department of Health recorded 4 new deaths in Larimer County on Wednesday (Dec. 9), bringing the county's cumulative total of COVID-19 deaths since March to 85.

Wednesday's update included four additional deaths — an 83-year-old Loveland man, a 94-year-old Loveland woman, a 92-year-old Fort Collins woman and a 72-year-old Wellington woman.

There have now been six COVID-19 deaths reported in Larimer County since December 1.

In addition to newly reported deaths, the county also reported 21 new outbreaks for a cumulative total of 203 since the start of the pandemic. Larimer County reports an outbreak when there are two or more COVID-19 cases tied to a specific location.

The cumulative total of COVID-19 cases in Larimer County was not updated on Wednesday (Dec. 9), that number held steady at 11,879.

The county remains a high-risk area with a two-week positivity rate of 11.9% and an overall prevalence of 826 cases per 100,000 people over the last 14 days.
