50 Years Ago Today Johnny Proposed to June Onstage [VIDEO]

Love was in the air on this day 50 years ago in Canada. It was then that Johnny Cash asked June Carter for her hand in marriage in front of a packed house. The scene was recreated beautifully in the movie "Walk the Line".

When you think of true love stories the story of Johnny and June Cash has to be near the top of the list. These two were so crazy about each other and anyone near them knew it. I found a news story out of Canada about that special night 50 years ago as well as an interview with Johnny and June taking about the onstage proposal and how they felt about it.
