7 Survival Items You Need According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office [GALLERY]

Hiking and exploring the Colorado wilderness is something most of us enjoy, but no one wants to be stuck in a less than ideal situation unprepared.

According to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, there are 7 survival items that you should bring on your adventure.

There are 1,911 moderate trails in Colorado ranging from 0.6 to 234.1 miles and from 4,258 to 14,251 feet above sea level, according to AllTrails.

Boulder County Sheriff's Office says these seven items are what you need to bring when you explore the great outdoors.
