Today is a day to remember greatness and I actually think it should be a national holiday. Today should be George Jones Day. George was blessed with one of the most distinctive and memorable voices in the history of recorded music. He helped give country music it's heart and soul.

Four years ago today the heart beat of 'the possum' thumped for the last time. He may have physically left this world but George Jones will never be gone. He is forever stitched into the fabric of every true country music fans heart. Today we will raise a toast of Tennessee whiskey in memory of one of the greatest talents who ever stood behind a microphone. Your shoes remain unfilled George.
