Northern Colorado residents who oppose the development at Hughes Stadium have filed ethics complaints against Mayor Wade Troxell and City Council member Kristin Stephens.

The complaint alleges that the two CSU employees (Troxell and Stephens) have a "vested interest" in the $10 million dollar sale of the land. Residents in west Fort Collins are not happy and have accused the mayor and councilwoman of tipping the vote on November 5. They claim that if the two members had recused themselves then the rezoning and development of Hughes Stadium wouldn't have passed.

The Fort Collins City Council is scheduled to vote again on Tuesday.
