A Colorado man accused of sexually molesting a 6-year-old girl is now in custody and awaiting trial.

The man, 61-year-old Ronnie Eugene Gill, allegedly had inappropriate sexual relations with a 6-year-old girl that was in his care at the time of the incident. On Thursday, January 21, Gill pleaded not guilty to several charges he is facing in the Boulder District Court.

The alleged incidents occurred in Longmont, Colorado, where one of the 6-year-old child's parents called the police to report the inappropriate conduct that Gill was allegedly having with their young child. The call to the police was made on April 28, 2020.

According to police, Gill frequently spent time with the child and even spent time babysitting her, but despite reports made to the police by the child's parent, Gill denies ever having any inappropriate sexual conduct with the young girl.

Gill is currently behind bars in police custody, where he remains on a $50,000 bond. His initial bond was revoked.

As of today (Thursday, January 21), Gill will remain in custody unless his bond is paid until his five-day trial which is set to begin on October 25, 2021. He also has a motions hearing in Boulder District Court on June 3, 2021.
