If you find Spiderman at Horsetooth Falls, please let us know. (Side note: we were able to find Spiderman's twin brother at Target later that day.)

My 6-year-old and I recently set out on a beautiful hike to Horsetooth Falls this past week to enjoy the 80-degree temperatures. All went well except for one little issue: My son's Spiderman slipped out of his hands on a rock and slid down into the falls.

Now, this catastrophe COULD have spoiled a wonderful day in the mountains, but thankfully, it did not, and the boy, after shedding a few tears for his "Spidey" managed to take some deep breaths and realize that Spidey was simply ready for a new adventure fighting villains helping keeping us ALL safe in the Horsetooth area on our hikes this summer.

Hiking Horsetooth Falls

After this full day of hiking in the sun, the boy slept REALLY well that night. All in all, it was a really nice hike for ALL skill levels with about a 6 mile roundtrip and an approximate 1700 ft. elevation gain. You can access this trail at the UPPER Horsetooth parking lot.

A day pass for parking is $9 and I HIGHLY recommend doing this on a weekday or VERY early on a weekend...Like, before sunrise, because we went on a Friday afternoon around lunchtime and the lot only had a few spots left.

Happy hiking.
