Outdoor adventures...they don't always have to be these big extravagant journeys into the Rockies for big hikes, they can be something simple like staying in town and finding a place to go ice skating...and that's exactly what this week's adventure is all about. The next step was finding a place to go.

Don't know why it took me so long to figure this out but we have a wonderful spot to go ice skating right in our backyard and that's at the Promenade Shops at Centerra.

My 5 year old has been wanting to go for some time and I didn't know where to go so I gave it a google and found out that there were actually quite a few places to get is some quality ice skating time in the area...more on those in a bit but there was a rink right there in Loveland that was REALLY close to us, so we decided to go with this one today.

We packed some snacks and even brought my 72 years YOUNG Mom with us. She didn't ice skate but the great thing about having an ice skating rink here is...for those that don't want to ice skate, they have PLENTY of options to do other stuff, like shop.

Pretty reasonable prices too, $10.50 for age 13 and up $9.50 12 and under and you get a wristband to come back all day if you need to leave or take a break for a while. That price also includes skate rental.

As you can see, the day was a success.
