Am I the Only One Who Had to Delete Facebook Messenger This Weekend? [POLL]

My phone would not stop blowing up this weekend. It seemed like every couple of minutes my Facebook Messenger App would start chiming and it was another person filling my mailbox with a warning about not accepting certain people to be my friends. I hate this with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns. Why do people feel the need to immediately take what they read in Facebook as truth and start spreading it throughout their Facebook community? It shows how easy it is to get the world in a panic if you rely on Facebook for your information and think whatever is on there is truth. Please stop. This is one of the dangers of social media...the inability to research and think for yourself.

I finally got so fed up that I deleted the app and will not be installing it again. If you need me, text me, call me or drop me note on Facebook but I will not be on Messenger again ever. Did your phone blow up this weekend? I can't be the only one.
