I always knew this day would come but that doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye. This Friday will be the end of a radio career that no one could have ever imagined. It has been such an honor to be invited into your homes and vehicles and wherever you had K99 cranked up. I figured I better write this now because this week will more than likely get a bit crazy and I wanted to make sure you know how much I love and appreciate you.

Getting to spend every morning with Todd Harding and Susan Moore was the greatest blessing a man could ask for. The fact that I got to work with those two amazing talents was a gift. We are grateful that you let us play with you for all these years. I won't be playing with them on the radio but the three of us will be getting together and goofing around for the rest of our lives because they truly are my two best friends in this world.

I could write forever about all that has happened over the past 30 years but I would really just like to say thank you for being there. When I started to pursue this dream in the late 80's and joined KUAD99 The Power Station...you were there. When K99 became Colorado's Country Favorites and Todd and I became the Good Morning Guys...you were there. When we thought we would try to create an event to raise money for abused children and created the 28 Hours of Hope...you were there and raised over $1.5 million over the years. When Susan joined us and we learned to get to know each other and how to work together...you were there.

Through six presidents...you were there. We were introduced to the world wide web and the internet was born...you were there. The 9/11 attacks occurred while we were on the air...you were there. We had fires, tornadoes and floods...you were there. I had children and then they grew up and gave me grandchildren and through it all...you were there. We have dealt with the death of friends in our community and family...you were there. I battled everything from heart attacks to kidney stones to massive infections, obesity, diabetes and so many other horrible health situations...you were there. I got myself together and decided to change my life and get healthy. I needed strength and support...you were there. We celebrated winning CMA Awards and making it into the Country Radio Hall of Fame...you were there.

You have never failed me and have been the best friend a guy could ask for. You have made my dreams come true over and over and now it is time for me to say goodbye and chase another dream. I feel I am being led and am going to try to teach an angry world how to be happy again. I am still going to be right here in the community so we will still be in touch. You will never get rid of me. We are stuck together but it is time for me to go. I am looking forward to being married to my wife. We have been technically married for 32 years but I have been spending my time with you and it's time for me and her to finally be a couple. I love her more than ever and look forward to being her husband and pursuing this next venture together as a team.

You have given me more than I deserve and feeling your hearts and love has been the greatest honor in the world. I love you and have been so proud and grateful to be a part of your life. See you Friday at The Last Habajeeba Show. You live forever in my heart.
