Bar District in Old Town Fort Collins to Open This Week

While most bars are closing, here's one — or, four— opening. Since the longtime Old Town resident Drunken Monkey made its exit in late 2019 (little did we know, that was probably great timing), we've been awaiting the new Bar District at 151 S. College Ave. 

The Bar District is a new concept that brings together four bars under one roof, with a stage, dance floor and patio. While the live music and dancing may be on hold for now, the Bar District announced on Facebook that it would open on Friday, July 24, starting at 4 p.m.

This announcement comes during a period when Governor Polis has called for bars to re-close, unless the bar can operate as a restaurant. However, last call for alcohol in all Colorado establishments is now 10 p.m. Larimer County is also at risk of losing its re-opening variance if COVID-19 cases don't start to decline over the next two weeks.

So, if you go, just remember your mask.
