Bear Desperate for a Nap Makes it to Northern Colorado Farm
After crossing 3 highways to get to a Longmont farm, this bear was probably in desperate need of a nice long nap.
According to the Longmont Times-Call, a bear managed to cross or go under U.S. 36, Highway 119, and Highway 287 to get to a tree at Sunflower Farm located just south of Longmont. The 150-200 pound bear would have had to come from the foothills (obviously).
Denver7 says a designated bear-sitter was called in to monitor the bear, who was expected to climb down by himself overnight. As of Thursday morning, they're unsure where the bear ended up.
