A 2-year-old black Labrador named Bear is being credited with discovering a hidden thumb drive during a search of Jared Fogle's home, leading to child porn charges.

Bear is one of only a handful of dogs in the United States that have been trained to sniff out electronic devices.

"It's just like any other K-9 training, like with the narcotics or explosives or anything. You get the dog used to the odor and reward them as they indicate on it," says the dog's trainer, Todd Jordan.

Bear's abilities caught the attention of the Seattle Police Department, which offered to buy (and ended up buying) him for $9,500. Once Bear makes the move to Seattle, he'll work with child pornography detectives in hopes of making similar busts in the city.

Jordan says he's sad to see Bear go because he's "probably one of the sweetest dogs" he's worked with.
