...because sometimes you and mom need a little wine time.

Mother's Day is this Sunday, and what better way to show mom that you appreciate her than getting her a little bit drunk?

Responsibly, of course. She did give you life.

There are a ton of great boozy events happening in Northern Colorado for Mother's Day, so you can have your pick: beer and brunch, wino women, or a mimosa morning? Choose what suits you and mom best:

1. Mother's Day Doughnut and Beer Pairing: New Belgium Brewing

Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

NBB will be hosting The Doughnut Club A.K.A the founders of The Dough Bar featured on Shark Tank, and you can try their custom creations with some of New Belgium's classic brews.

2. Mother's Day Cupcake + Beer Pairing: Intersect Brewing

Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

You're gonna want to get to Intersect as early as you can: the June Poppies cupcakes paired with Intersect's 5 oz. beers will be a first-come-first-serve event.

3. Geeks Who Drink: Trivia Night at The Lyric

Sunday, 7:00 p.m.

Bring a whole team of moms to help you with this trivia night...you're going to need the brainpower.

4. Sunday Brunch at Luna's Tacos & Tequila

Sunday, 11:00 a.m.

This is just one in a series of Sunday brunches at Luna's in Greeley, but what better way to celebrate mom than with some biscuits and gravy, bacon and egg torta, and yes— tequila?

5. After Hours With the Comedy Brewers

Sunday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Head to Zwei and get ready for some hilarious improv from The Comedy Brewers— mom's laughter will hopefully make her forget those painful 23 hours of labor she was in (sorry again, mom).

6. Mother's Day at Loveland Aleworks

Sunday, 12 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Grab a beermosa with mom for only $3, thanks to Aleworks's Mother's Day celebration. There's nothing better than saying 'thank you' with a brew to the woman who's had to watch you go through puberty.

It's the perfect day to get a little crazy with mom, and show her just how much she means to you. Happy Mother's Day, Northern Colorado.
