Brian and His Grandsons Pick Out the Perfect Charlie Brown Christmas Tree [PICTURES]

Yesterday I had one of those 'get in the Christmas spirit' moments. There are certain times when you just feel Christmas and getting the family Christmas tree is one of them. We used to go out together as a family and pick out a tree to cut down and take home. We dropped this tradition after going out a couple of times and walking all the way to perfect tree only to realize we had forgotten the saw. We then moved to an artificial tree.

Our new tradition is to put up a fake tree downstairs and get a little 'Charlie Brown' Christmas tree for our small upstairs area. Yesterday on my way home from work my wife Kyla sent me a message asking if I would like to load the boys up in the wagon and head to the store to look for our little tree. It was a beautiful day for a walk and we had a blast. The boys picked out the tree they wanted and we loaded it in the wagon to head home. They were so excited! Zayden got to ride all the way home with the tree while Zander lead the way on his scooter like Rudolph guiding the sleigh.

We put up the little tree and the feeling of Christmas is now filling our home. It is amazing what a little tree and couple of lights can do to get you in the right mindset. Picking out the tree is one of our traditions and I hope it is passed on to the next generation of my family. Traditions are part of what this season is all about. Keep your family traditions alive.
