Here is a sad statistic when it comes to our military: there is one suicide every 18 minutes. American Military Family is one of many trying to decrease, if not eliminate that number.

There are poker and motorcycle runs every weekend when good weather arrives which is why I write about many of them now so you can plan on which ones you want to do. When it comes to a motorcycle run, for me, I only do the ones that I know are going to make a difference for something positive.

This is one of those runs that will be put on my calendar. (Details are still being worked out so please check the event page by clicking on the link below)

The 'Brothers in Arms' run will benefit American Military Family with the funds being used to help in the fight against military suicide. As I mentioned earlier, there is 1 suicide every 18 minutes for members within our armed forces. One is just too many for these heroes.

This unique ride will consist of two stops with the main event being at Buffalo Rose (1119 Washington Ave) in Golden starting at 2:00 p.m. We will be having Guild Of Ages and Live to Tell for live music. The Denver Dames will be washing hogs and rods out front, raffle, silent auction, food and more specials to come.

Please save the date for this one. Cost is $10 for a rider and $5 for your passenger. It will be a good ride for an even better cause and you'll feel great knowing you are contributing to a solution. Also, please take a few minutes to check out the video I posted below on military suicide. This video is part 1 of a 7 part series that may open your eyes, and heart.
