You know without a doubt that summer is in full swing when you hear the chutes open, the bulls snort and the ooh's and ahh's. With summer, comes Cheyenne Frontier Days.

The wild and crazy committee of the Cheyenne Frontier Days is pleased to announce that they've added something this year that will knock your boots off. There will be more bucking and an all new Cinch Rodeo Shootout to kick the rodeo action into high gear, opening day, Friday July 18, 2014.

The Cinch Rodeo Shootout is ridiculously crazy fun. It's an invitational featuring the top tough and ready cowboys in America. You know it's going to be a sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat rodeo when there's over $70,000 in prize money.

As these fine tough riders get ready to hit the dirt, make sure you have your ticket. Tickets for the Cinch Rodeo Shootout go on sale tomorrow, April 4, 2014. Tickets start at $18 and top out at $30. Plus, if you get your tickets now, you'll get a $3 discount. Also, if you're one of the first 3,000 to buy a ticket you'll also get a limited addition T-shirt marking the first Cinch Rodeo Shootout at the Cheyenne Frontier Days. Get your tickets online at cfdrodeo.com or call 800-227-6336.

I've been dawning my boots for the Daddy of 'em All, Cheyenne Frontier Days for as long as I can remember, an event that the entire family looks forward to. I've met some great people, saw wild action with the rodeos, and sang along with some excellent talent. I've been fortunate enough to intro and meet Uncle Kracker/Kenny Chesney (I was so nervous), I've shaken hands with Trisha Yearwood and introduced my
Ashley to Martina McBride and more. This year's concert line-up and rodeos will prove to be a step above what you've ever seen before. Can't wait till July!
