The City of Fort Collins has a stock of 200 trees it will be selling to the public for $25 each.

Catalpa, Bur Oak, Hackberry, Greenspire Linden, Princeton Elm, Chanticleer Pear and Shumard Oak varieties will be available to residents through the Community Canopy Program for Arbor Day Foundation. The trees will come between 2-4 feet tall.

Fort Collins residents can reserve a tree online at fcgov.com/treecanopy. Residents can only reserve one tree per household.

The trees will be available at a pickup event on May 18th. An online tool on how to plant and care for the trees will be available to those part of the program.

“Not only does this project help beautify our City’s landscape, it also provides immense environmental benefits and can help our residents save money on their energy bills,” said Kendra Boot, Interim City Forester in the press release.
