Big Sky Resort posted a time-lapse video to their Instagram page yesterday showing a dusting of snow on Lone Peak. That storm moved from Montana over Wyoming and dusted the northwest part of Colorado with snow.

Also, A spokeswoman for Winter Park said they were seeing storm activity on the mountain on Friday with new snow on the mountains.

Earlier this week, meteorologist Joe Gratz predicted the snow, and is calling for 2 more storms to move into Colorado before September 17.

Meteorologist Joe Gratz:

Three storms will skim Colorado between September 8-17 and our highest peaks could see a dusting of snow during each event. This is normal for September and has no bearing on the upcoming ski season, but it’s still fun to talk about the chance for snow!

Cities in Colorado haven't seen September snow in 18 years. Denver Post reporter Chris Bianchi asked the question "What ever happened to September snowfall in Denver?" In September of 1971 Denver saw 17.2 inches of snow, and 2 other times the city has recorded over a foot of snow in the month. There hasn't been one inch of September snow in the Denver metro area in 18 years. Fort Collins and Pueblo have the longest September snow drought on record with Puebo's September snow drought going back to 1996. Source: Denver Post and OpenSnow.Com
