CSU announced on their Instagram today that their Infectious Disease Research Center hopes to be the first to discover the vaccine for COVID-19.

Colorado State University’s Research Innovation Center was recently highlighted by The Colorado Sun, since they're one of many research facilities across the United States racing to find a cure for coronavirus.

However, don't get your hopes up just yet. According to The Sun, "Goodrich said it could take a year and a half before the center could produce a safe vaccine ready to be used widely by humans."

Apparently, this is still the fastest the research center has worked, and it would be a spectacular honor if the COVID-19 vaccine came from our hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado...we'll have to keep watching and waiting.
