Winds in Colorado reached the equivalent of a Category 1 hurricane over the weekend.

The National Weather Service said winds throughout the state topped out at 85 MPH on Saturday in Boulder.

Rocky Flats in Golden (73 mph) and Cedar Point in Limon (70 MPH) were also among the top wind speeds recorded. Winds peaked at 61 MPH at Denver International Airport.

While Fort Collins did experience some patio furniture-blowing wind conditions, it wasn't as dramatic as in Boulder. The National Weather Service reported winds peaking at 48 MPH on Saturday in the Choice City.
