Colorado Woman Tests Postive for COVID-19 Twice

A Colorado woman has tested positive for COVID-19 twice in less than two months. Her symptoms were persistent so she got tested again and is back in the hospital.

Michelle Hart, who lives in Lafayette, starting having coronavirus symptoms at the end of April, according to 9News. She was tested for COVID-19 and on May 2 her result came back positive. Michelle had two negative COVID-19 tests back to back so she thought she no longer had it --but she was wrong.

Poor Michelle's symptoms were persistent and she decided to go urgent care to figure out what was going on with her. According to 9News, Michelle tested negative for strep and the flu and was given another test -- the nasal swab test. This was her fourth time getting tested and this time it didn't come back negative.

According to 9News, on Wednesday, June 17, her coronavirus test came back positive, and there a few reasons why she still tested positive for COVID-19:

• First possibility - Michelle Hart didn't develop antibodies, so she could have been reinfected
• Second possibility - The virus became dormant and was reactivated later
• Third possibility - Michelle hasn't cleared all viral particles

There is so much we don't know about the coronavirus and we are learning something new about it every day. We wish Michelle Hart a speedy recovery and hope that this is her last time dealing with COVID-19.
