Sunday, July 5, at 1:05 a.m. University of Colorado receiver and younger brother of former Buffaloes star Laviska Shenault Jr., was arrested in Fort Collins near Moby Arena on suspicion of a DUI.

La'Vontae Shenault was charged with "DUI, along with a lighted lamps violation and a drivers license violation", according to 247Sports.

The Coloradoan reports that Shenault was released on a "personal recognizance bond after posting $1,250". Fort Collins police stopped the CU receiver after the vehicle was being operated without headlights on, according to spokeswoman Kate Kimble.

His court appearance is scheduled for November 6.

He seemingly responded to the incident via Twitter.

He played four games in 2019 and was ranked No. 30 on BuffStampede.com's Top Buffs Countdown.

The second highest rated signee in CU's 2019 class, Shenault had 135 receptions for 1,717 yards and 12 touchdowns in two seasons on varsity at DeSoto (Texas) High, according to 247Sports.
