It's the time of year to take a look around the house and decided what documents you really need to hold on to, and the ones that are just taking up space.

If you have boxes and bags of sensitive documents taking up space, the City of Loveland's Public Works Department: Solid Waste Division is ready to help you out on April 24, 2021. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. that day, they will completely shred those documents and recycle them.

The event is happening at the northeast lot of the newly renamed The Forge, which used to be named the Rocky Mountain Center for Innovation, off of Taft at 14th Street SW (Highway 402). They just recently changed the name of the campus, as it takes on a new direction and a new name to go along with The Foundry in Downtown.

If Loveland residents have a 2021 Yard Debris permit, they can show that at the event to shred their items at no cost. Those who don't have one of those permits, and people from Larimer County, will be charged only $5.

They are asking participants to wear masks and to limit what they bring to only three bags or three boxes. They also remind residents that the Recycling Center always takes shredded items (for those who can shred at their home or office).

In some other world, there's a guitar 'shredding' competition happening at the same time as people are coming by with stuff to be shredded.
