Unfortunately, in another casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival announced that their July event has been cancelled.

The non-profit aims to bring awareness and understanding of Asian Pacific cultures to the all Colorado citizens, and usually does so through their annual festival in Denver. In fact, the Denver event has met with such success that it has grown into the largest dragon boat festival in the United States.

After careful analysis of the issues, it is clear that the most responsible course of action is to cancel this year’s summer festival, which was originally planned for July 25-26.

However, according to the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival's website, the board of directors hopes to bring the event back in 2021. In the meantime, if you are interested in supporting the festival while we weather the pandemic, you can do so at www.cdbf.org.
