When you’re going out fishing you need to remember lots of things, and a fishing license is always one of those things. But now you don’t have to remember your physical license anymore as Colorado Parks and Wildlife released information earlier this week regarding Colorado residents being able to go digital with their fishing license on the myColorado app.

If you don’t have the myColorado app yet there are many benefits to having it downloaded beyond it being the state of Colorado’s official mobile app. Currently, Colorado residents can download the app and it keeps an electronic version of their driver’s license or state identification but just recently added the ability to show their valid fishing license. You can find the myColorado app in your app store or by visiting mycolorado.gov

What Specific Fishing Products Will be Available for Purchase Through the myColorado App?

There is a long list of items for anglers through the app including:

  • Resident annual license
  • Resident youth annual license
  • Resident senior annual license
  • Resident 1-day license
  • Resident additional day license
  • Resident senior low-income lifetime license
  • Resident disability lifetime license
  • Resident VA lifetime license
  • Resident first responder license
  • Extra rod stamp

Soon Colorado Parks and Wildlife will look at adding individual park passes and dog-off leash passes as well as some annual hunting licenses.
