Do You Remember Brooks & Dunn’s First Number One Hit? [VIDEO]

I can remember sitting in my office back in 1991, I actually had an office for a few months once, and having a record guy come in and tell me I was about to be blown away by what I was going to hear. Keep in mind a record guys says that to me at least 3 times a week so you tend to take it with a grain of salt. This time the guy was right.

He put in a new song by a new duo called Brooks & Dunn. That sound grabbed me immediately. It had a feel and vibe that I hadn't felt before in country music. This felt like it was going to be big and boy was it ever. That debut song, "Brand New Man" would end up being the first of endless number ones for these two men. It all started with this one reaching the top 17 years ago today. Happy anniversary Kix and Ronnie.
