Estes Park Employer Paying Mileage for Summer Job
An employer in Estes Park is now hiring employees for the Summer, and it's sweetening the pot by offering to pay mileage.
Estes Park is a beautiful place to visit, but driving through the winding, vertigo-inducing, motion sickness-activating, 20-mile-long Big Thompson Canyon to get there isn't exactly anyone's idea of fun.
That's why Safeway's small mountain town location is offering tax-free reimbursements to prospective Summer help for mileage - in addition to hourly wages - and will even add in an reward for those who tough out the drives for at least 30 days.
The Fort Collins location at Harmony and McCurry posted these orange "now hiring" signs (pictured) at their registers to recruit help from other parts of Northern Colorado.
Deli, bakery, produce, and seafood clerks, night crew, day stockers, and Fresh Cut's employees will begin earning $11.50 to $11.80 per hour, and after 30 days their hourly pay will increase to $14.80 or $15.50.
Would you commute to Estes Park for work daily? There are a lot of benefits to it (like getting to work in a gorgeous location), and it sounds like this added perk could help make the annoying drive worth it.
