Ann K. Heiman Elementary is participating in the Great American Can Roundup. The competition is nationwide and awards one school in each state $1,000.
To win the money, our school has to collect more aluminum cans than any other school in the state. We are only competing with one school in Longmont. We are asking that you bring your empty aluminum cans to the Greeley Harley Davidson store on March 28th. It does not matter if the cans are crushed or whole. Our goal is to collect 113,000 cans, so we can bring home that $1,000 prize!
The money we collect from recycling cans at Anderson's Salvage as well as this prize if we win, will go towards buying technology for our school.
The Harley shop will have their Swap Meet Event that day as well, starting with a Pancake Breakfast at 9:00am. So please stop by and support a school in your community!!
