The U.S. Department of Homeland Security plans to increase the use of overtime and will be working to bring in more screening officers to help alleviate some of the long airport security lines we have been seeing.

The TSA is making a move to hire 768 new security officers and hope to have those people in place as early as mid-June. Right now they are dealing with a lot of bad PR on social media with many people tweeting out their long wait times at security. American Airlines held five flights for delayed passengers at Dallas on Friday alone. At the nation's busiest airport, in Atlanta, passengers were reporting wait times of up to two hours.

I always find checking the security wait times before I leave the house to be helpful so that I know what I'm walking into when I arrive at the airport. You can do that here.
