Fat Shack's popularity has been growing since opening in Fort Collins, but the guys aren't profiting. Shark Tank stepped up.

Fat Shack, based out of the Choice City, has 13-14 current locations in three states: Colorado, Texas and Washington state.

The founders of the business went onto Shark Tank on May 12, 2019, to see if they could get one of the sharks to invest in the company so that they can expand and therefore make more money off of franchise fees.

According to CNBC, they had three sharks making offers- they were all about the same: $250,000 for a 17% stake in the company, which has made $22M since opening.  They got Mark Cuban to take his stake down to 15% (with a $250,000 investment) he agreed, and now Mark Cuban is part owner of a restaurant chain that he would probably never want to eat at.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fat Shack added some sort of CUBAN sandwich to their menu in the near future.

Way to go, guys!
