This summer, Lucky came to Larimer Humane Society in such bad shape, vets had to remove both of his eyes, but things have turned around for the two-year-old Lab mix.

Larimer Humane Society shared in an Instagram post that when Lucky came in as a stray just two months ago, 'He was blind and in pain from severe cataracts and infections in his eyes...Even though he was in pain, medical issues didn't slow Lucky down! This energetic, playful two-year-old Lab mix was full of life, even during this healing process.'

'Today, Lucky is a healthy, happy pup and has settled into life with his new family,' LHS shared.

Pass the tissues, please? Lucky is just one of the thousands (Yep, thousands!) of animals Larimer Humane Society helps every year in Northern Colorado. On Saturday, September 8, you can show your support for LHS at the 20th annual Top Cat & Tails Gala at the Embassy Suites in Loveland. More info and tickets here.
