The Poudre School District announced that a fire broke out Thursday morning in the Fossil Ridge High School wood shop.

Poudre Fire Authority personnel quickly got control of the fire that started around 9 a.m. in a dust collector. PSD reports that all students and staff were evacuated and are safe.

PFA said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fossil Ridge opened in 2004 and currently has more than 1,900 students.
