Fort Collins Music eXperiment music festival was moved from April to Labor Day Weekend, but with COVID-19 restrictions remaining in place, the 'in-person' event is now cancelled, Fort Collins Musicians Association (FoCoMA) announced in a news release.

On August 11, FoCoMA said that after 'continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation and following the orders and recommendations of the CDC, the State of Colorado and the Larimer County Health Department,' they have decided to cancel the festival, 'due to mass gathering restrictions, temporary business closures and with health recommendations in mind.'

However, there are alternative, safe events in place of this year's local music fest, including a look back on years past.

FoCoMX invites fans to share 'photos, videos, and stories of their favorite FoCoMX memories virtually through social media' for A Digital Retrospective, which will be held online in September.

FoCoMA has also teamed up with the Holiday Twin Drive-In for the Drive & Jive concert series, which is every Tuesday night through October.
