We are just a week away from the biggest NFL game of the season, but making news today came from a team that held down the last place in their division.

The San Francisco 49ers, following a 2-14 season, are rebuilding starting from the front office down. It was announced yesterday, and came as a surprise to many; the 49ers hired former Bronco safety and Fox broadcaster, John Lynch, to be their general manager.

Lynch signed a reported six-year contract. He is also a finalist this year for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
