Former Greeley Car Dealer Sentenced to 16 Years in Prison
Weld District Court is sending a Greeley man to 16 years in prison after he plead guilty to acts such as human trafficking and organized white collar crime, according to a press release from the District Attorney's office.
Noman Boroumand pleaded guilty to the class two felony of violation of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act (COCCA). His counts include class three felonies of Human Trafficking naming multiple victims and Retaliation Against a Witness or Victim; and a class five felony of Attempted Sexual Assault.
The Weld District Court determined Boroumand will spend 16 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections.
After his release, he will be supervised in the Sex Offender Intensive Supervised Probation program for 15 years. If he violates his supervision, he could spend another 31 years in the Department of Corrections.
As the former owner of 1st Choice Motors in Greeley, Boroumand is accused of stealing around $1 million from several local banks. The state closed his dealership in 2017.
The Weld County Grand Jury also indicted Boroumand that same year, charging him with alleged crimes against multiple women involving human trafficking, sexual assault, stalking, and retaliation against a witness or a victim.
The sentencing hearing will take place on October 30th at 3 p.m. Weld Assistant District Attorney Robb Miller and Chief Deputy District Attorney Thea Carrasco will prosecute both cases.
