Fort Collins Drug Dealer Jailed 45 Days After Heroin Kills Man

A Fort Collins woman will serve 45 days of her 90 day sentence behind bars in connection with a fatal drug overdose that killed a Colorado man.

On Feb. 18, Shawn Brecka was sentenced to 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to felony drug charge last month that killed 32-year-old Gregor Ulman in Leadville.

Back in April, first responders were called to Ulmen's home where they found him dead of a heroin overdose. Leadville Police looked in his cell phone and found a series of text messages between Ulmen and Shawn Brecka.

Authorities questioned Brecka and she admitted to using heroin, selling drugs to fund her habit and selling drugs to Ulman hours before his death.
